What do you think illegal alien pleads guilty in murder of 2 teens?

HUNTSVILLE, AL — Felix Ortega, an illegal immigrant accused of killing two teens is a car crash last year, pleaded guilty this morning to murder.

Judge Dennis O’Dell sentenced Ortega, 26, to 15 years in jail as part of a plea agreement.

The charges stem from the April 17, 2009, car crash deaths of Grissom High School sophomore Leigh Anna Jimmerson, 16, and her boyfriend, Tad Mattle, 19, a 2008 Grissom graduate.

Prosecutors say Ortega had a blood alcohol level more than three times the legal limit at the time of the crash, which took place at the intersection of Airport Road and Whitesburg Drive.

Ortega entered a not guilty plea on June 10, but his attorneys reached an agreement with prosecutors that led to a guilty plea and 15-year sentence.

What I’m really ticked off about is how they manage to even get a drivers license in the first place.
They basically walked into a GOVERNMENT building the same government that branded them as criminals and will deport them if they find them and gave them a license.
Didn’t it seem odd that in the whole process these people couldn’t provide sufficient documentation? and yet the DMV was just "oh okay no problem, happy motoring"

Do you think this is just another Obama trick to keep the illegals here even tho it is against the law?

Feds moving to dismiss some deportation cases

The scene at the Harris County lockup last summer. Culling the immigration court system dockets of noncriminals started in earnest in Houston about a month ago and has stunned immigration attorneys.

Culling the immigration court system dockets of noncriminals started in earnest in Houston about a month ago and has stunned local immigration attorneys, who have reported coming to court anticipating clients’ deportations only to learn that the government was dismissing their cases.

Richard Rocha, an Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokesman, said Tuesday that the review is part of the agency’s broader, nationwide strategy to prioritize the deportations of illegal immigrants who pose a threat to national security and public safety. Rocha declined to provide further details.

Critics assailed the plan as another sign that the Obama administration is trying to create a kind of backdoor "amnesty" program.

Raed Gonzalez, an immigration attorney who was briefed on the effort by Homeland Security’s deputy chief counsel in Houston, said DHS confirmed that it’s reviewing cases nationwide, though not yet to the pace of the local office. He said the others are expected to follow suit soon.
Rico, if I were canadian I migght be concerned.. I am not.. just working here for awhile.. sorry!
Great answers so far.. thanks

Thank you for this excellent question.
I do agree that it is a trick.
I find it interesting how the Democrats have tricked people in the USA into thinking that they are the ones who have "humanity" on their side. I think they are more evil and devious than the other side (who has their share of tricksters as well).
I am looking forward to the new USA philosophy of people I talk to taking effect after this election. Most want incumbents out and are willing to cross the isle in terms of setting their own term limits. We are all very fed up as it appears that no one is listening and we (both sides here) are suffering.
Getting illegals to stay here in the USA is one of the Democrats biggest tricks. They trick the people into thinking that they are acting humanely towards them all the while it is a plot to get more and more votes. Open your eyes people.
The corporate lobbyists who have made our elected officials their puppets also want illegals here. Why? Cheap labor. So, "it’s all good". The Dems get people fooled into thinking they are their "friends" and the corporations get more people willing to work for less. The politicians line their pockets with donations and get wined and dined by lobbyists. We pay the price, they win and the USA citizen’s wishes are pushed aside yet another time. Beware.
Then, to top it all off the hard working Americans who worked all their life to pay in to social security lose. These illegals will get retirement income, medical and all that stuff, even food stamps while the rest of us get less and less even though we worked and paid in all our lives. I have nothing against immigrants. But, I want them to come here legally and pay their share of taxes and I, especially, want them to learn English.
We have Obamacare due to the lobbyists as well. Take note that a larger percentage of the US public didn’t want that voted in, and yet we have it. Why? Lobbyists for drug companies. The drug companies are no fools, they get more and more expensive presciption business and the governement is contracting to buy drugs with them and not go outside this country to Canada, for example, to get things cheaper. Contributions, fancy trips and governement gets bigger and bigger and we all pay. How nice.

Democrats are masters at getting the people to be the sheep and think they are being "helped" while they are being stolen from.

Look at why Scott Brown was elected. He was out there in his pick up truck, pouding the payment and really listening to what the people wanted on one evening (using an example) when his "bleeding heart liberal" opponent, Coakley, was at a $1000.00 a plate "fundraising" dinner with corporate lobbyists in Washington. You could see right through her and whose interests she would have been voting on. He was out there listening, talking while she was getting "fed". Sickening. It happened every day of the week.
We found out about this one night as one of her henchmen assaulted a reporter who actually tried to expose this. In the end, we found out and we were not pleased.
Wouldn’t you love to follow some of our members of Congress/Senate around for a few weeks and record who they meet with for meals, parties and whatnot and identify the lobbyists and which corporations pay them and track what the voting record was following those meetings? Boy, would that be an expose’. I wish someone would do that, I really do.
