I took photos on the street. Can I post them on my blog if people are visible & recognizable in the pics?
And if so, may I make comments – both good & bad – about the people in the pics? Don’t tell me that you don’t know and that I should ask a lawyer just to get "Answer" points. I want to know if someone really knows the answer. Thank you in advance.
You can certainly post the pictures on your blog. It is your "right" as the copyright owner of the shots to publish them.
However, be very careful with the captions. If you put any captions which could be classed as libelous or defamatory then you can get done by the individuals for that.
it really shouldn’t matter if you post the photos but it would matter if the people in the pics see your comments about them, especially if its bad. of course if they were random people there’s small chance of them seeing your blog but that chance is always there and it would be better if you don’t take that chance

if the people are recognizable than you cannot post without their permission. you would have to get a model release. thats what my photography teacher told me when i was taking candid photos. if they were just a blur in the crowd it wouldnt be a problem.

Yes, you can post your photos as privacy laws are different in public areas (in US and most countries anyway).
HOWEVER, it is completely unethical to criticize an individual in a photo –>> libel cases are not that uncommon
