why not just use some PA systems/speakers in your room (or bedroom dj room)
you could just turn the volume down if its took loud, but you could turn it up and use it for gigs too. Seems like a good choice am I right?

this is true. look at ohms as valve on a water hose the more ohms the more closed it is. so all your speakers (valves) are 8 ohms you will have so much water flowing with one add another and you have two openings for twice the flow half the ohms. i hope this helps try google for some diagrams.

Think of it this …
Think of it this way, when buying a PA, always assign 10 WATTS per person. So If you need a PA for 200 people, you would generally need to get a system that is around 2,000 Watts. So 4 250 Watt 15′s and a couple 500 watt bass cabs. Intimidation has good prices. Check out the AKA range of their speaker lineup.

from my understanding, it’s not mainly being unver powered that kill a speaker, it the amp being over driven into clipping and the clipping is destroying the speaker. if i missed something let me know.
